Nissan Repair: engine performance, flowmaster muffler, k n air filter

I have a 1998 Nissan Frontier 4x4. It is only a 4 cylinder and I would like it to have a little more power. Can you please tell me a little about power speed chips/modules. Good idea or bad.          Thank you, Suzanne

I do not know of any performance chips available for your vehicle.  But, they do make good power if they have one for your vehicle.  Other areas for improvement are a Flowmaster muffler and a K&N air filter.  The muffler is about $150 for a three chamber installed and about $40 bucks for the filter.
