how do i remove my old alternator in my 1993 nissian 240 sx and how do i put the new one in?

Answer
First you need metric tools.  Second you need to disconnect the battery cable.  I take the negative one loose so I do not make a spark by accidently touching the wrench to ground when doing the positive.  If the negative is done first you do not risk making the spark.  Now, loosen the belt to the alternator and then remove the two bolts that hold the alternator on.  I think one is a 15 and the other is a 13 millimeter and then pull it out enough to get to the wires.  Remember where they go and if you are not going to buy the replacement first make a diagram of where the wires go or take a Polaroid picture before you disconnect them.  Reinstall the wires on the new alternator and reconnect it and put the belt back on.  Now, hook up the battery and you are done.
