Nissan Repair: 91 pulsar, nissan pulsar, wire bundle

91 Nissan Pulsar 1600 T/B auto (camira engine)90000km
The check engine light comes on intermitetly(has for a while)now it stalls when cold backing out of driveway.
there is never any fault codes in memory,drives very well apart from these anoying problems.
has been sugested the computer was at fault.
any clues or comments.

It is either the computer or a loose connection at the computer where the large wire bundle connects.  Try disconnecting the battery and removing the computer.  Check to make sure there is no corrosion on the pins and reconnect the computer and then reconnect the battery.  Never disconnect the computer with the battery connected.  Check this out and see if it corrects the problem.
