Nissan Repair: Information on Servicing, 1990 nissan 300zx, nissan 300zx

Hi,

It was of great help the prior info that you supplied regarding my alternator problem. My car is 1990 Nissan 300ZX V6 (2+2 Coupe) with 157K miles on it. I bought this car a month back and already having a problem with Alternator. Am planning to get a through checking done from Nissan Dealer. Do you think that will be better. Please suggest when I goto Dealer what things should I ask them to stress upon when checking my car.

Basics are going to be all the hoses and belts and especially the timing belt.  With this many miles you should go for a timing belt and the related goodies like a waterpump and tensioner pulley when you get the timing belt done.  Other than that I would be looking at the brakes and brake lines and related braking components.
