Are the intake and exhaust valve clearances adjustable on a 1992 Nissan Stanza, manual transmission vehicle. If so what are the clearances and is the procedure performed engine hot or cold.

THe lash adjustment is on a lable on the valve cover and the procedure for adjusting is pretty simple.  All you need a a ten millimeter wrench and a common screwdriver along with a feeler gauge.  You have to adjust the valves when they are on the base circle and not when they are opening valves.  So, when you check the adjustment just make sure you have the cam with the lobe away from the cam follower.  Renew the valve cover gaskets and washers and you should be good to go.
