Nissan Repair: Nissan 240SX starting problems, mass air flow sensor, mass air flow

Question
I have a 89 Nissan 240SX and recently replaced the starter and mass air flow sensor. After this the car started and runs great until now.  Problem - When 1st starting - the car has started to have an almost no fire problem, then once the car starts it acts like it is flooded for a bit, then runs as smooth as ever. But when the accelerator is applied within the first inch the car attempts to or dies (Then it takes forever to get it started again) but if the accelerator is applied very slowly then the car will stutter for about 1/10 of a sec then runs just fine. Any ideas

Answer
Mike,

(if it is carburator)
Sounds like it is getting to much fuel.  You'll have to have it adjusted.  You'll have to have the fuel ratio turned down (fuel mixer), it is running to rich.

(if not CARBURATOR)

If fuel injected, you'll have to retime your car.  Your timing is off.  It will make it to where it sounds like it is flooding.  Retime back to origianl specks, and it should even it out.
