Nissan Repair: e.c.t. sensor, nissan 300zx, 300 zx

I had a diagnostic test done om my 1985 nissan 300zx at the Z-shop.The guy told me I have a bad Engine Cool temperature sensor.I checked the nissan 300zx manual an it doesn't list a e.c.t.sensor for a 1985 nissan 300xz.It list all the other sensors except for for that one.I saw that newer 3's list that sensor but not for a 1985.Could you tell me if a 1985 non-turbo, 5-speed manual 300 zx has a e.c.t sensor & where is it located.

About all I can say is that if the diagnostic came up with that it should have one.

Me personally I do not know where it is.  Call your "local" Nissan dealership, ask for parts dept.  Have them look it up for a price.  If NO price comes up then you'll know for sure, Nissan will also tell you wether or not there is such a part and where it is located.

Most all dealerships can pull up the complete diagram on thier computer.  Other part stores (Auto zone, Kragen etc) DO NOT have that luxury.
