Nissan Repair: brake lights, datsun 210, haynes manual

Question
I have an '81 Datsun 210...the brake lights don't
work...I've installed new bulbs, checked the sockets, replaced the fuse, tested the brake pedal switch and tested as much wiring as I can reach...I can't figure out how to test the circuit for breaks between the switch and the bulb...I've tried bypassing the existing wiring with no success...I'm not sure how to proceed from here...I have a Haynes manual but the wiring diagrams are beyond my expertise...any sugestions?

Answer
using a test light, make sure it has a good ground then check the b/l wire work from the bulb back for power....stick the ground wire at the light with the test light.......my guess is you've lost ground....an 20 years is really hurting the memory banks,  love those 210s......
get back if that doesnt work........thats about the time they supplied power to all switches an used ground to make things work
