Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 2000 Alero 2.4L, steering locks, many other items

My car has started chugging while i'm driving then goes into some sort of shut down and i'm forced to pull over since my gas won't work and steering locks. The car does not turn off,it still idles, just shuts everything down. I have been told maybe water in the gas, spark plugs or a bad coil, possibly even a fuel pump going... which one you think?

I would HIGHLY recommend taking to a good repair shop and having it diagnosed.
It COULD be any of the items you listed or many other items.
You could spend thousands replacing parts, when you can spens (probabally) less than 100 to have it PROPERLY diagnosed.
