Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 96 buick lasber, brake warning light, brake master cylinder

Question
i drive a 96 buick lasber and i think its a 3.8 about a mounth ago when i would apply presser on the gas pedal my emergency brake light would come on (usually form a dead stop) in tell i let off the gas and then it would stop and now it stays on the whole time I'm driving

Answer
Hi
If the RBWL (Red Brake Warning Light) ONLY is on, then there is either a low fluid in brake master cyl., emergancy brake warning (could be wiring issue) or a pressure problem detected by the proportioning valve.
If it is on IN CONJUNCTION with the ABS or Anti Lock light, then you need to have it scanned for Trouble Codes.
In either case, I would advice you to at least check the fluid level in brake master cylinder, just to make sure it would be safe to drive to a repair shop for further diagnosis.
I Hope this helps
