Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: no start, crankshaft position sensor, ground circuits

Question
I have a 1998 buick regal w/ 3.8 engine.  The problem began as occasionally stalling while driving, but would start right back up with no further occurances for a week or two. (began about a year or so ago) on occasion would not start after short trips, ie going to store ect., but would start after few trys of cranking engine.  Now for last few months when engine gets to operating temperature, will not start until engine completely cools down, 2-3 hours.  Engine runs perfectly when running no other problems..Any clue.  Don't want to just start replacing without some clues.  Thanks for any input.

Answer
Hi
I will tell you to first take it to a nation wide shop or parts store (Mieneke, midas, autozone, etc..) and have the computer scanned for codes. If any have them diagnosed.
If not, you'll need to figure out what your loosing (Fire, fuel, power etc...)
Possibilities COULD be any of the following
Crankshaft position sensor
Ignition Module
fuel pump
fuel pump relay
Power cable
ground cable
power and/or ground circuits to PCM
Theft deterrent module
These are just ideas, and there are many more items it could be.
Please follow post back if needed.
