Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: ALL-TIME 4 X4 JEEP BINDS ON TURNS, viscous coupler, jeep specialist

Question
I just  picked up a 98 jgc limited with v-8 5.2 and full time 4x4.The previous owner has all service records and it is in great condition. They had the transfer case rebuilt , transmission rebuilt and the front differential replaced.Had viscous coupler and other parts replaced. My problem is that when I turn l or r the jeep binds up and will barely move. This is my first 4x4 and I have been searching for answers for weeks now.I pulled the front axles out and looked at the cv joints .I don't hear clicking,But do you think the joints could be the problem? There is no play in the wheel bearings but I do hear a slight humming from front.Ammco gave the old owner a lot of trouble in diagnosis and they took it back to them 3  times then after spending 3500 on rebuilt parts were sick of it and sold it to me for 5000. Hopefully you can help as I love this Jeep and want to fix as a hobby. Any advice will be very appreciated.....Thanks

Answer
Hi
I am a GM tech, so I cannot say for certian on a Jeep.
The FIRST thing that I \would advice you to check and see if there is a special fluid for this full time 4x4. I know GM's make all kinds of racket and binding with improper fluid or dirty fluid.
Second would be to have it re-diagnosed by a 4x4 specialist in your area. I would stay away from places it has already been. Look in phone book... You should be able to find a good 4x4 specialist or maybe even a Jeep specialist.
It MAY be the front axle clutches.... they can do this.
I hope this helps....
Also maybe look through the experts again, and see if maybe you did not pick me by mistake!!
I Do wish you luck
