Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: key in ignition chime, steering column, fuse

Question
Please, ever since having the ignition switch replaced on my late 90's LeSabre, the chime is on non-stop. The dealership mechanic couldn't find it quickly, and wouldn't spend too much time on it without charging me labor. It's driving me batty, and I've had practically the whole dash apart searching for it, with no luck. Do you know where it is, or even what it looks like so I can identify it? I can kill it by pulling a fuse, but this also kills the radio so I have to choose between too much noise or none at all. I sincerely appreciate if you can help me out on this.

Answer
Hi
It is located as just before you gey to itgnition switch during steering column tear down.
I would suspect they broke the tab, or the contacts are bent making contact at all times.
Either way the column needs to be tore back down to the switch.
Good Luck
