Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: harmonic balancer, center bolt, buick lesabre

Question
I have a 1988 buick lesabre with a 3.8 motor.I have removed the center bolt from the balancer but it still want come off and I cant use a puller becase it has a flat surface with no holes to put the puller screws in.Can you help me.

Answer
You'll need a harmonic balancer puller.
The bolts for the puller will need to be 1/4" and about 6" long.
They fit in the cutouts between the center bolt and the belt drive. They are hard to see, but they are recessed in pretty far.
I hope this helps.
Good luck
