Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Radio/dashboard question.., no screws, buick lesabre

Question
Howdy!
I've got a 2001 Buick LeSabre (Custom) with a V-6, automatic transmission.
The radio/CD player is original to the car.  It's one of those "one nob" radios...you push it in to turn the radio on or off, and twist it for volume.  You tune the radio to the various stations by those little up/down "toggle" type buttons.
Something has either come loose or broken (probably something plastic) inside the dash, and the radio is in there rather loosely.  It still turns on and off, etc., but the left side of the radio slips backward in the dash.
I want to get in there and see what's wrong...I suspect it's either a nut that's come loose, or else a little plastic tab is broken...but I can't figure out how to get the radio out in the first place.  There are no screws on the dashboard, and I'm afraid it's probably all those little tabs.  Is it possible to come up UNDERNEATH the dash to get into the radio space, or is there something else I need to do?
Any suggestions/advice greatly appreciated.
Warm regards,
David Gardner

Answer
Hi
Remove the "wood Grain" (Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate) on the drivers side by just pulling it out (may have a HUD switch there??)
Open the glove box door, and there should be 2 screws (7mm) holding the passenger side (long) "wood Grain" (Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate)  in.]
Then.....
Raise the tilt steering column to the highest position.
Remove the 2 fasteners holding in the Instrument Panel (I/P) Cluster Trim Plate Bezel.
Lower the tilt steering column to the lowest position.
Disengage the 4 clips across the top edge, and the 4 clips across the bottom edge that retain the I/P cluster trim plate to the I/P by gently pulling toward the rear of the vehicle.
Set the parking brake.
Move the gear selector lever to the L1 position.
Tilt the top of the bezel rearward in order to remove.
Disconnect the electrical connector (3) from the driver information center switch (5).
Then.....
Depress the spring clip retainers at the sides of the radio.
Pull the radio straight out in order to remove the radio.
Disconnect the antenna coaxial cable from the radio.
Thats it....
Hope this helps.
