Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Theft system and DLR Lights, oldsmobile cutlass, gm vehicles

Question
I have a 1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass and I have 2 issues.
1 - sometimes when I try to start up the car a security system light comes up and my shutsdown. after a couple of tries it finally turns off and im able to turn the car back on. Any ideas on how to get this fix

2 - DLR keeps killing my batteries and I would like to disable it, any ideas on how to do so.

The security system best fix will be to have the Passlock Sensor and lock switch replaced.
As far as the DRL's I do not have access to schematics any longer for anything 1998 or prior.
Most GM vehicles can either be programmed to have drl's turned off or there is a DRL relay that can be removed.
