Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 1997 LeSabre Cruise control drops out, buick lesabre, 1997 buick lesabre

1997 Buick LeSabre 3800 83K miles. No trouble codes. Checked tail lights, no problem. Cruise Control engages when cold but after 5-6 miles it drops out and will not re-engage untill cold. Can you advise before I go to swappin parts?

I would check the Stop Lamp switch... they are VERY common for causing similar problems. Even though the stop lamps work, the switch itself CAN still be faulty.
Second I would go and have it properly diagnosed. You'll come out ALOT cheaper and get it fixed quicker than "swappin parts". Take it to a good shop that has a GM Cruise Control testing tool (alot do). Have it diagnosed properly then make the repair yourself. You'll come out better.
JUST advise from experience.
