i have replaced the icm twice in 7 months. everthings else in the ignition system checks out ok. any ideas on what could cause this. thanks

Is yours the distributor type with the module inside the distributor?

To install:

Coat the bottom of the new module with dielectric lubricant. This is usually supplied with the new module.


Fig. 14: Module replacement is always in need of silicone lubricant



Install the module and tighten the screws until snug.
