Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 98 buick regal gasket, intake manifold gasket, head gaskets

Question
I am trying to find out if my head gaskets are blown. I went to have an oil change and there was coolant on the dip stick. I was told my head gaskets were blown. Later I was told it could be an intake manifold gasket. How do I find out if its the heads or the intake?

Answer
If a head gasket is blown, the engine will usually overheat, or puke coolant out of the radiator.
Should also miss.
A compression test will show low in one, or two adjoining cylinders.

If an intake maniflod gasket is leaking, it will normally just loose coolant, and may miss on startup. But won't overheat till the coolant is real low.
