Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 95 century cruise control, light bulbs, abs light

Question -
While driving on the freeway with cruise engaged, tapped the brake to slow momentarily. Cruise hasn't worked since. any ideas as to what failed?
Answer -
Could be the brake switch on the brake pedal.
I also had that problem when the stop light bulbs in the hi mount stop light in the rear window burnt out.

I checked the cyclops brake light and sure enough it was burned out. I replaced the bulbs and Wallah, the cruise works!!

Let me tell you....it is not in any book I have been able to find, and very few people have ever heard of it.

Dealerships want to replace the ABS unit, cause it causes the ABS light to come on in some vehicles.
