Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 1999 aurora stall at deceleration, olds aurora, position sensors

Question
Hi Ed,
My 1999 Olds Aurora V8 will  stall when I take my foot off the accelerator and rpm's drop below 1000. If I keep the rpm's above 1000 it wont happen. If it stalls I can put it in neutral and start it again keeping the rpm's above 1000.

Answer
Hi,Ted

You could have an IAC{idle air control}motor that is failed,GM has issued an updated IAC to cure this complaint.also the crankshaft position sensors cause this problem also,GM has also issued updated crankshaft position sensors for the same symptoms.
