Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 1994 Bravada Brake Lights, 1994 oldsmobile bravada, turn signal switch

Question
Hi, I have a 1994 Oldsmobile Bravada and the two side brake lights have stopped working.  The third light still works and all the turn signals work.  We've have checked the switch and all the lights, just about everything we could think of.  Is there something we're missing?  What could be causing this problem?

Answer
Hello Melanie,
I don't know much about bravadas, but it is not a common thing to have stop lights on the side of a vehicle. Stop lights are generally reserved for the rear of a vehicle.
Are you absolutely certain that what you are working on are supposed to be stop lights, or could they maybe be parking lights?

Or are we talking about rear stop lights, and you are saying the ones on the sides of the rear are not working, but the one in the center is?
If that is the case, the turn signal switch just might be the problem, since the stop and turn are the same, but that center stop has a separate stop light switch on the brake pedal.
Come to think of it, the switch on the pedal could also be the problem, cause like I said, that center light uses a separate switch.
Be sure to check all the fuses first.
