My brother says I need to change the coolant temperature sensor on my 1989 Olds 98 Regency with a 3.8, the dash is not electronic.  Could you tell me where it is located?

I wonder why you should change it. I will send a link with some specs on how to test it, and what the readings should be.

It should be located right near the thermostat housing.
