Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: antilock brake plug, 1998 oldsmobile aurora, oldsmobile aurora

I have just replaced my wheel bearings on a 1998 Oldsmobile Aurora.  It came as an assembly with the plug for the Antilock brake system.  When I plug in the plug my brakes lock-up on me.  I thought maybe it was a bad part so I took it back and replaced it with a new one and it does the same thing.  What came it be?

I don't work on Auroras, but I might have an idea.
Would you be willing to reinstall the orriginal that was on the vehicle before you started?
If it locks the brakes also, there may be some reset proceedure needed, like disconnecting the battery, or getting codes reset.
