Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: oil light and noise, buick skylark, oil light

Question
Hi Pete,

I have 2 problems with my 95 Buick Skylark, V6 3.1 engine.  The serpentine was replaced and the oil was changed about a week ago by a mechanic.  Now, the oil light stays on while the engine is running. The oil level is fine and doesn't seem like there's any leaks. Also, there is a squeling sound emtted from the front of the engine while it is running. Could this be the water pump?

I'd appreciate your expertise.

Thanks,
Faye
