Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 1997 Buick Skylark, crankshaft damper pulley, 1997 buick skylark

Question
Pete answered my question of the location of the MAP Sensor that Auto Zone indicated was causing my check engine light to come on and indicated to check the crank sensor as well.
since he is maxed out I thought I would ask you
where is the crank sensor located and is it as well as the MAP sensor difficult to replace or check if this is possible. Or do we leave it to a seasoned mechanic due to difficulty.
Thank You for your time and consideration.

Answer
Hi Frank,
I can't access the orriginal question,
but the crank sensor should be behind the crankshaft damper pulley, or in the distributor, depending on your engine.
The MAP sensor should be near the top of the engine, and connected to a vacuum hose.
