Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: turn signals, olds bravada, turn signals

Hi,
I have a 96 Olds Bravada and my turn signals just stopped working, both inside and out. The hazzard lites still work fine, so its not the bulbs. I went to one place and they did not check it or anything but told me it was the switch in the steering collumn and it would cost $259 just for the switch. My brother thinks it may be the flasher. I have no idea which one it could be. I know its not a fuse that was the first thing I checked.

I would tend to believe that the flasher has failed. Buy a new one so you know what your looking for and look up under the dash around the sterring column for the realy, LOOK HARD. Also look over beside the glove box on the passengers side up under the dash or behind the glove box.
