Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 1989 lesabre 3.8l intermittent misfire, vacuum hoses, compression check

Question
1989 lesabre 3.8l intermittent misfire. why is this random, "feels like running on only 5 cylinders", misfire happening.

Answer
Hi Rod,
There are a lot of possibilities.
Bad spark plug, plug wire, fuel injector, sticking valve, or ignition system.
A good tuneup, including the wires, and check all the vacuum hoses would be a good start.
Then a compression check.

Good luck,
Van
