Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: No spark, slow decline, time jason

Follow up question

The coil is on top of the distributor, and the distributor I replaced with the new one was only a month old I think the chances of getting 2 bad parts in a row are fairly small, although im not discounting it yet, but the car ran with the last one for a month fine until it just suddenly shut off at a stop light in the middle of driving, there wasn't a slow decline or anything it was a sudden stop if that helps, thanks for your time.
