Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: turn signals not working, buick skylark gran sport, buick skylark

Hello, I have a 1990 Buick Skylark Gran Sport.
All of a sudden my turn signals don't work. My Hazard lights work fine. But no turn signal. I've checked the fuses and replaced the flasher. But still nothing. When I mess around with the tilt the flasher will cut in once in a while, but still no signal lights. I am out of ideas, any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you.

Hi Blair,
You know there are two flashers?
Did you replace the flasher for the turn signals, or for the emergency flashers?
Make sure by turning the flashers on and feeling the flasher you replaced, or remove it and see if they quit.
The flasher is what I would suspect, and it should be in a clip on the steering column, under the edge of the dash.
Otherwise, a rubbed wire in the column might be the problem.
