Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: brake light & turn signal, turn signal switch, 1988 cutlass ciera

Sorry I just emailed you, I have a 1988 cutlass ciera

My turn signal comes on,but I have to hold the stick.  How can I fix this.  

How can I find the proper replacement bulb for my back brakelight at the top?  I have purchased 3 different bulbs but they do not work.

Your problem is within the steering column as the TURN SIGNAL SWITCH is broken and needs to be replaced.

This requires  special tools to remove the steering wheel and the lock plate when you get the steering wheel off. These special parts can be purchased at most any auto parts store.

As to the brake light bulb what is the problem ?. It does not fit and is the wrong kind or what ?.
