Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 1988 olds 88 eletrical concerns, fuse panel, radio antenna

Question
Hi Tom Joy,

I have a 1988 olds delta 88 royal broughm with 60,000 miles on it and a 3800 engine. The car has a strange problem in that the electric radio antenna doesn't go up when you turn the radio  on. The chime for the lights on, keys in ignition does not work. The electronic cluster for the date, time, trip meter, fuel used, etc  always resets itself when you turn the car off. The radio works, but no reception because the antenna wont come up. I checked all the fuses in the fuse box under the dash and at the relay on the right side under the dash and all are good. Any ideas? Side note: I just replaced the starter because the main (power)connecting  bolt/thread kept coming loose , but the elect. problems were there before that. Any connection there?
Thanks man
Tom

Answer
The antenna motor and or relay is most likely faulty.

As for the gages, Physically remove and test each fuse from the fuse box. Do NOT test them with a test light while still in the fuse panel.
