Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: hesitation, spark plug wire, accelerator pedal

Hi Tom
My friend owns an oldsmobil 88 1992.It hesitates (misses) only on acceleration. sometimes He needs to depress the gas pedal to start the engine.It has new spark plugs and fuel filter.
What do you suggest.Thanks.

You should NEVER depress the accelerator pedal when you start these newer electronically controlled vehicles.

You are accomplishing absolutely NOTHING by pushing the gas pedal.

You could have a faulty spark plug wire or a faulty fuel injector or a numerous amount of other possibilities.
