Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: turn signal, emergency flashers, left turn signal

Question
I have a 1990 Oldsmobile Royale 88.

My right turn signal does not work.  When you flick the turn signal lever, the right turn signal arrow on the dash comes on and stays lit.  It does not flash.  The exteior turn signals do not flash either.

My left turn signal works fine.

Can you list the first 2 or 3 things I should look at first to diagnose and fix the problem?  The Chilton's manual doesn't address this problem.  As you can probably guess (since I am driving a 15 year old car), I cannot afford to take it in to the shop.

THanks.

Answer
Either the front turn signal bulb is burned out or ONE of the TWO turn signal lights at the rear of the vehicle are burned out.

Turn ON your HAZARD/EMERGENCY flashers and check to see that BOTH front turn signal bulbs are flashing and that all 4 of the rear turn signal bulbs are flashing. Most likely one of the ones on the right side is burned out.

let me know.
