NOBODY HAS THIS YET.  THEY WANT TO THROW PARTS AT IT. CAR RUNS PERFECT EXCEPT WHEN THE OUTSIDE AIR TEMPERATURE IS 90 OR ABOVE. ALL WINTER IT IS PERFECT BUT WHEN AIR TEMP IS 90 IT SHUTS DOWN AND WILL RESTART AS SOON AS I CAN PULL OVER AND PUT IT PARK.  IF I AM RUNNING  AT SPEED THEPOWERWILL JUST FADE AND THE RPM DROPS TO 7-8 HUNDRED AND THEN QUITS.  I CAN LET IT IDLE FOREVER AND ITWILL NOT DO IT . IT IS NOT ENGINE TEMP PROBLEM ONLY AN OUTSIDE AIR TEMP PROBLEM.   INTAKE AIR SENSOR?  ---------  THE FUEL PUMP WAS REPLACED 2 MONTHS AGO AND DID FIX THE FUEL PROBLEM .THIS IS DIFFERENT.  THE CAR DOES RESTART AFTER ABOUT 20 SECONDS. IS THERE A AIR TEMP SENSOR IN THE INTAKE AIR TUBE?

I pulled my notes of oddities that I have encountered over the years for your particular year of vehicle and came up with nothing.

What I would do is to monitor the fuel pump pressure/volume as well as the ignition circuit with my long test leads whereas I could put my meters inside the vehicle while I was driving the vehicle for several days to see exactly which source I was losing and then test fromthere.

This would require a very well skilled tech nician and your permission to drive your vehicle for several days to get this fault to occur.

these kind of problems are very very difficult to diagnose and I do NOT believe in replacing part after part hoping to hit the right one.

QUESTION: Has there been ANY work done on the car prior to this current problem ?. ANY work of any kind ?.

Obviously it is a HEAT SENSITIVE component or a wiring connection that is getting hot and causing a voltage drop and when the engine shuts down it and or it is driven in cold or cool weather the faulty connection or component is being cooled enough to prevent this voltage drop.

This could be a tough one to fix but NOT IMPOSSIBLE. Trying to find someone with the technical skills and the willingness to spend the time solving your problem is goin to be a challenge.

It could be something as simple as an oil pressure switch of which controls the fuel pump voltage.

Could be the RUN SIDE of the ignition module.

Could be a wiring harness connection that has some corrosion in it due to a previous repair where it was left unplugged for several days waitnig on parts for the vehicle during a repair procedure.

Could be a haet buildup within the vehicles computer.

In alot of cases when I get a vehicle such as this it usually will quit and you have to wait 10 or 15 minutes before you can restart it and I would have a can of A/C freon and a hose so I could cool off the suspect component with the freon and IF the vehicle stated right back up, This would pin-point my faulty part or electrical connection.

try and think of all your previous repairs prior to this problem and let me know.

IT IS FIXABLE.

Yes their IS an air temp sensor. I can get you the procedure for testing the air sensor.

I see you did not answer or provide any other requested information that i asked for, Any reason WHY NOT ?.

THE FUEL PUMP WAS REPLACED LAST YEAR AND THAT IS IT FOR PROBLEMS.  THE CAR WILL RESTART ALMOST AS SOON AS I CAN PULL OVER AND PUT IN PARK TO RESTART IT.  IT DID THIS LAST SUMMER AND WHEN THE WEATHER COOLED OFF IT RAN PERFECTLY.  NOW THE TEMPS ARE 90 AND ABOVE AND IT HAS STARTED IT AGAIN.  I GUESS I WAS HOPING IT WOULD HEAL ITS SELF.   I GUESS THIS INFO DIDN'T MAKE IT LAST TIME.  LOCATION OF THE AIR TEMP SWITCH WOULD BE HELPFUL ALSO.  I HOPE YOU GET THIS INFO.

Answer
Without performing all of the previous said test procedures you could replace parts forever before you ever found your problem.

i can't think of one thing that sticks out as being the most likely faulty component.

If this vehicle has a MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR on it, This item has been a major problem of stalling problems.

You need to have someone perform the above said tests.

It could be crank sensor.

ignition module.
and numerous other electronic components. Without actaully having access to the vehcile to personally perform the tests, I really can't give you an exact cause or part fault.
