Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue, fuel pressure regulator, oldsmobile intrigue

Question
I will try to explain this the best way possible. When driving my car it will just stop on me.  I noticed that this started to happen when my gas was low.  Then it seemed like it would happen when the car was too hot.  Then it seemed like it would happen when I would recently fill the tank.  When it stops, it takes anywhere from 2 to 20 times to start.  But it eventually does and it may or may not stop again after that.  My service engine soon light is always on and a number of other dash indicator lights are on including ABS brake, oil change, trac off, etc.  Also when I turn to the right my car makes this clicking noise.  About a year ago I had some work done regarding the drive axles.  Originally when I turned the car either left or right it was making a clicking noise, really loud.  Now it's just the right side in which the mechanic couldn't figure out why it was doing that after the front drive axles were fixed.  After reading several inquiries on this website I am thinking that the stopping problem has something to do with the fuel pump, fuel filter, or fuel pressure regulator.  Someone said these are common problems in GM cars.  Any advice would be beneficial.  It is really hard to be trusting with mechanics being that I am a woman and you constantly hear about us being taken advantage of.  Thank you.

Answer
It COULD be a fuel pump problem or any number of electrical problems. There is just NO way to tell until it happens when a service technician has the vehicle when the fault occurs.

As to the front axle clicking it is highly probable that one of the CV-joints on the axle is failing. I have seen brand new joints go bad in less than a year. Again you need to have it professionally diagnosed.
