Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Electrical, small screws, buick lesabre

Question
I have a 1993 Buick leSabre. It is a great car most of the time, but sometimes after a rain, it refuses to start. If I wait ten or twenty minutes, it usually starts. Or sometimes if I slam the hood. No one has seen a problem. Also I was wondering where the trunk release is. Was it in the glove box, where there is now an empty space?

Answer
When you say it REFUSES TO START, are you saying that you can hear the engine turning over but the engine just won't START UP ?.

Are you SURE that your vehicle is equipped with an automatic trunk release ?. If it IS, You will have to remove the glove box liner via the several small screws and locate the 2 wire electrical plug and install a new button in the hole and plug the electrical plug onto the button and re-install the liner.

When the vehicle fails to start do you have headlights at this time ?.

What mechanical work or ANY kind of work has been performed on the vehicle recently ?. As most problems that occur after a recent repair was made can be traced back to the area of where the repair was made as a wire connection came loose, Look around in the area where work was performed..
