Hello,

I have a 1998 Olds Intrigue. I read on your site by another expert about a problem that I am having with my vehicle as well. My windshield wipers on my car have been parking into the vertical position. The advice that was given was to remove the wipers from the posts and put them back into the proper position. I tried that, but the wipers then try to go down further, and then will stop. I removed the entire linkage, and everything seems to be working just fine, though I still don't have any way of shutting off the wipers without them being the the vertical position. Any ideas?

There was a problem with the board in the wiper motor housing on pickup trucks for several years. it is where the wire connector contacts solder to the board.
It would allow the wipers to work intermittently, and park randomly.
The problem was cold solder joints.
I don't know if an intrigue would be the same or not.
