Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 99 Olds Cutlass security system wont let start, olds cutlass, diagnostic checks

Any help will be appreciated! Car won't start - diagnostic checks out ok, battery ok, starter ok.  Best guess is a link to the security system that cancels start - some days it starts and runs just fine, other days it just clicks.  Any chance of fixing it without going to dealer?

hi marie,only chance of repairing this without special equipt from dealer ,would be if something has gone wrong with the chip in the ignition key ,in which case you can go to the dealer and have new key made for this vehicle.anything else on this very high tech and complicated system is pretty much in the hands of the dealer .good luck billymac
