 This car was over heated,Ran while low on coolant!The car was shut down when we realized it was hot, temp light failed us! But when we fixed the leak the car would not crank over It seems to be locked up ! I was told that there is some sort of safety feature that locks it up ! Is this true, and if so please tell me what to do !   thanks Tim

Hello Tim,
Remove the spark plugs, and try to crank it over either by hand, or just bumping the starter, and see if coolant blows out the spark plug holes.
If it does, you have a blown headgasket, a cracked head, or a cracked block, or possibly just the intake manifold gasket, but if it was real hot, I would suspect the cracked head.
There is no safety feature that I am aware of like that, but hopefully, I am wrong, and there is.
