Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Replacing Heater Core, oldsmobile delta royale, heater hoses

I have a 1982 Oldsmobile delta Royale eighty eight
Windows keep fogging up.I see two heater hose,s under the hood leading to a compartment.Engine size is 307(5.0)Can I get to the heater core from here?Is it a hard job and do I need any special tools? (Urgent).Have some ideal of what to do.

hi lee,heater cores are all different but most a pretty big job,but can be done by most people with some mechanical ability.as for yours.you see the hoses is there a big cover right there that unbolts from firewall if so yes you can,but if all you can see is the hoses comeing right out of the firewall.then no you will have to remove dash for replacement.so if big black box under hood with heater hoses comeing out remove the box.hope this helps please vote for me billymac
