Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 1980 Buick Le Sabre, buick le sabre, head gaskets

Hello again,

I peviously wrote and asked you how to change head gaskets on a Buick Le Sabre 1980 4.9 Lt. 301. I have gotten to the right side head (from the front)(the Left one is almost their i have some manifold bolts to take off) and have removed all the bolts and manifold bolts. I have broken the seal because fluids came  from the head, But yet I cannot get it to fully detach. Do I have to take the rocker arms out completely or anything involving that? It feels as though something is pulling back when I try to remove it. Thanks for the Help before,

hi n, well loosen all rockers and remove the push rods .be sure the exhaust manafolds are unhooked and out of the way.be sure no brackets still attached to head.you may need to pry head  off as gaskets hold firmly .but if you have exhaust and intake off and all bolts brackets it will come off good luck billymac
