Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: intermittent starting--99 Olds Aurora, jumper cables, olds aurora

Question
I have a 99 Olds Aurora-V8-- In the last 3 weeks I have had twice when car would not start- key turned - nothing.  Started by having car jump started.  I took it to an GM dealer --they can find nothing --- all systems checked out ok--and ideas of what might be causing this.

Answer
hi nancy.well they can,t find anything because when you take it the car is running fine and the batt is fully charged.which means that something is running the batt down over nite a light staying on something kicking on by itself. such as a pump for air ride or sometimes an alternator regulator will stick and drain the batt.if this is the case when it will not start the alt will be hot when you hook jumper cables up listen for things running keys out of ignition doors closed most likely a pump or something you have never heard before or even the eng cooling fans .interior heater on these cars sometimes will stay on.good luck billymac
