Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Transmission problem, sebring convertable, chrysler sebring

Question
Hi Billy,
I have a 2001 Chrysler Sebring convertable 2.7 automatic with 30000 miles on it.When I take it out of park and shift to reverse or drive the car jumps and makes a clunking noise. It shifts normally while going down the road.I was told I had a front motor mount problem so I had that replaced and still didnt solve the problem. Please help.

Answer
hi shiela, well could very well be a mount just not that one.there is two other mounts that are on this car and they should have checked the others when they replaced the front.but could also be a transmission problem.you really need to take it to a trans shop and have them look at it. and determine exactly what it is or you can spend a lot with guessing.this is a very expensive trans and should be diagnosed bye proffessional trans technicians.they won,t charge you much if any to check it .good luck please vote for me  billymac
