Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 93 Olds 98 coolant leak, head gasket leak, coolant hoses

Question
'93 Olds 98 Regency 3800
Coolant leak when engine is started cold. Disappears after warmed up. Location: upper rear of engine (driver's side), near throttle body. I thought at 1st it was the temp sending unit, but it is not. My Haynes Manual says some models have coolant hoses to the throttle body not visable untill the TB is removed. Does this model have coolant hoses to TB? Any other possibile causes other than head gasket /cracked block?
               Thanks, Doug

Answer
HI DOUG, YES THIS ENG IS EQUIPPED WITH WATER COOLED TB. THESE HOSES CAN LEAK AND THE TB CAN CRACK .REMOVE TB YOU WILL SEE WHERE HOSE COMES IN ONE SIDE OUT THE OTHER .PRETTY SIMPLE AFTER YOU REMOVE.ANOTHER POSSIBLE CAUSE IS A INTAKE GASKET LEAK.A HEAD GAsket leak their would be at bottom of head and would run on trans.hope this helps please vote for me billymac
