Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: back firing, fuel pressure regulator, vacum leaks

Hi, my name is Robert I have a 1991 Buick Skylark 2.5 throttle body, automatic. When at idle you step on the gas it pops back threw the carb and only does this when you try to take off from a start or rev the engine. Once you get pass a certain RPM it runs smoother.If you could I sure could use some help.         Thanks, Robert

HI ROBERT, NORMALLY BACKFIREING IS A CAR STARVEING FOR FUEL SO EITHER FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR OR FUEL PUMP.THESE ARE THE MOST COMMON ASSUMEING YOU HAVE NO PLUG WIRES CROSSED.OR NO VACUM LEAKS.CHECK THESE ITEMS IF YOU NEED TO PLEASE WRITE BACK TY BILLYMAC PLEASE RATE MY HELP
