Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Auto dimming feature/winshield rear view mirror, windshield company, rear view mirror

Minor problem with 2000 Buick regal LS.  39000 miles, great car.  My rear view mirror no longer dims.  I have cleaned the sensor openings to no avail.  Is this feature repairable or do I have to replace the entire unit, which includes front seat courtesy lights?  Where can I find this item at a better price than Buick wants.  Thanks for any help you can lend.  Ben Stewart

HI BEN YOU NEED TO REPLACE THE BAD PART MOSTLIKELY THE MIRROR ASSY.CHECK WITH YOUR LOCAL AUTO PARTS STORE FOR A  AFTERMARKET REPLACEMENT PART.OR A SPECIALITY SHOP THAT INSTALLS TINTED WINDOWS AND STUFF.ALSO WITH  YOUR WINDSHIELD COMPANY,S HOPE THIS HELPS TY BILLYMAC
