Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Bright lights, oldsmobile cutlass, coloumn

I cant get my birghts to turn off on my car. I have an 1990 oldsmobile cutlass cali and the regular lights worked this morning before my oil chane and now they do not. And my oter question is i am having trouble starting my car what cloud that be? i have plenty of anti freeze and oil is god. Could having a bad air filter cause this problem? please help thnks

HI KRYSTAL,YOUR BRIGHT LIGHTS SHOULD WORK ON THE WIPER SWITCH.EITHER THE SWITCH IS BAD OR THE ELECTRONIC PART ON THE COLOUMN IS BAD.TRY AND TILT THE WHEEL ALL THE WAY FORWARD IF THEY WORK ROD GOING TO SWITCH IS OUT OF ADJUSTMENT.YES A BAD AIR FILTER CAN CAUSE HARD STARTING BUT SO CAN LOT,S OF OTHER THINGS WILL NEED MORE INFO ON EXACTLY WHAT IT SI DOING   CRANKING GOOD NO START ,,CRANKING SLOWLY}{HOPE THIS HELPS PLEASE TAKE TIME TO RATE MY HELP TY BILLYMAC
