Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: electrical, neg bat, speed sensor

Question
I have a 2000 olds silhouette.  I just put four new tires on a month ago.  after a day or so my brake light(e brake} and trac off light came on and will not go off.  No longer can i turn my traction control on and the brake is completely off.  Is this problem because of new tires, or just a coincidence?  What should i do?

thank you,

aaron.

Answer
hi arron .probably not related to tires as long as they are the right size for your vehicle.what is most likely going on is a speed sensor is going out.you can disconnect the neg bat post for 20 mins or so.this may clear the code if it is a false code.but if there is actually a prob with the sensor the light will come back on .the sensors tell the tcs and abs what the speed of each wheel is to adjust traction.and abs.good luck please rate my help ty billymac
