Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Buick intermittent problem starting/running, 94 buick roadmaster, buick roadmaster

Question
I have a 94 Buick Roadmaster 140,000mi. recently I noticed a popping in the radio when I start the car. the noise went away once the car was running. Then the battery ran down. I got a new one. The hood latch broke and I had that fixed. Here's where my problems begin. The shop then said I needed a new starter. replaced that. Then the car would start but when put in gear would die. There is a post next to the fuse box under the hood, it burned, replaced that. Then the car began acting wierd, overheated, replace thermostat. Car still wouldn't run. The shop diagnosed a faulty air pump and when taken out the car would run. When a new one was put back in it still would not run. They replaced the distributor assembly. Now there are intermittent issues like fans running when they are not supposed to and not running when they are supposed to. The car now seems to run, but I am afraid to drive it very far. They've checked all the fuses, EGR valve, spark plugs wires, etc. Can't find the problem. When the car died on me the voltage light came on. I noticed lights like ABS coming on when it's not supposed to. Brakes are fine. any suggestions?
